1Durant sa courte existence, Forūġ Farroḫzād a incarné la femme iranienne moderne, écartelée entre la tradition et la sensibilité moderne. En dépit de son importance en tant que poète et témoin de son époque, il n’existait pas d’étude, ni même de biographie la concernant, du moins en langues européennes. Ce volume vient donc avec bonheur combler une lacune dans notre connaissance de la littérature persane moderne. Les deux éditeurs ont rassemblé treize communications écrites par les meilleurs spécialistes, qui touchent à la vie personnelle et sociale de Forūġ, aux thèmes importants de sa poésie (monde, soi, miroir, maison, jardin, rébellion, etc.), à son art poétique, mais aussi à ses activités en tant que réalisatrice et traductrice, sans oublier son influence sur d’autres auteurs et sur la diaspora iranienne. Une bibliographie complète utilement le volume.
